I've been keeping up pretty well with the weekly pages but forget to post them here. Lots was happening in November so lots to remember.

A November Week
Last week was pretty much the usual. Sunny to start there was still lots of color in the foliage and the temperatures weren't bad. There were some highlight too like my book's early arrival.

Painting My Photo
A wonderful tutorial and beautiful inspiration kicked off last Friday's AnnaLift. The tutorial was even one I could follow in Paint Shop Pro (PSP), often not the case. The result looks like a painting of my photo from a park along a river. It was late November, but we could sit on a bench along the river in the sunlight. I'm still amazed at how still the water was to create such reflections.

Drawing #18 - Troubled Water
My new drawing could as easily be called "Rocky Surf" as it was inspired by our sighting of Surf and Black Scoters on Saturday. The water was relatively calm when we saw them, but we've seen them in rough surf along rock jetties on the New Jersey coast in other Novembers when things were quite different. I've again used a bit of collage and acrylic paints. The gray color is a paint called iridescent pewter. It imparted a sheen even where nearly transparent. The scan did a fair job of reproduction, but the sheen is a bit elusive.

November 2010 Review (Project 12)
At Deco-Pages Jennifer Rassi started us on a Project 12 for the year and I've done a two-page spread for each month this year. I'm not about to quit with only two months left, so here is my review of November, a much quieter month than October. Don't forget to click on the image to see it in a larger format.
You can see the individual pages and even read the text by clicking on them below.

Yesterday's newspaper was interested in the fact that our official measurement of snow (and all the local weather data) has no measurable snow since March 25th. They did acknowledge that places other than the airport had snow in November though. We'll see if the white stuff outside our house today made it into the gauges there! As I said in the November pages, I'm not ready for winter or the holidays!

Clematis Fading Out With November
I scrap photos of this clematis all year round; this is the almost dried up version at the end of November.
I had posted many versions at Deco-Pages and at one point had the four seasons linked together. I'll have to find that favorite four and post them here.
