There is still a lot of the month left, but the first page I did this month is very much my favorite. It was for a specific challenge and is a bit different from my usual. It really speaks to the season for me as well. Hope you'll enjoy it too.

Desert Dreams
The weekly scraplift is not just of a page, but also a concept. It is the term crush and "could be related to a person, or maybe it’s a place or even a thing in your life. " 'Crush' would mean a short lived love; something that doesn't last. Beside a puppy-love or infatuation for another person, it could be a new hobby, a food, an activity/game. Something you're very attracted to at least initially and then the spark burns out. Or you do something so much and then get tired of it."
I had no idea what to scrap. I'm never going to admit to a singer I liked as a preteen and those sorts of things are so long ago I can barely remember anyway. Eventually I thought about a place I love but that I don't go much anymore. That became my theme. I used a favored photo from years ago taken in southwestern New Mexico.
