Drawing #64 - Red-hot Iron

Mental landscapes are still evolving which is encouraging. The latest draws its title from text in the collage. I found other ideas came out as I worked. In the beginning the lines were inspired by shapes in the seed head of a teasel plant. Remember to click on the image for a larger view.

  1. I like the bold lines and colors in this one. It makes me think of dragons in a confused sort of way, a clan moving about. Next, the making of apple cider popped into my head, totally not related. That's on of the things I love about your drawings - they can be interpreted so many ways :)

  2. I can see a very indignant mallard sitting on an egg, also a chimpanzee and, strangely, an elf wielding a club. There are also lots of small birds and an elegant peacock, a frog sitting on a lily pad and some unidentifiable marine life. I could go on but I´ll just add that this is a most impressive piece of artwork, beautifully crafted and something to return to again and again.
