It was all Deb's doing, I believe. A long time ago in October 2008 we were asked to pick an object to be our prop or "avatar." Then we took photos including that object and scrapped them. I think a certain number of pages were required. Here is the intro page on mine plus two of the pages including her and one of her Oklahoma "cousin." You can click on the images to see them larger.
Laj, I believe yours was left behind on your travels though later returned. As a result you didn't get to keep up with the challenge. Helen, I don't think you had to participate. Deb can chime in any time with her memories of the event. I don't have the designer details for these alas.
Yes, I think it was prop photography... a photography challenge. I used my scarecrow... seems so long ago... lol ... I do remember it was a fun challenge. :)
ReplyDeleteI must have been preoccupied in Oct 08 and missed most of this but I do have a very hazy memory of Deb´s scarecrow. I can think of several situations in which many objects would be out of place and context and I´m sorry now that I didn´t take part in the challenge. It sounds like fun.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right...it was a harvest angel that cost about $10. I had the lady ship it but didn't even think about what the cost might be. I could have bought 2 of them for the shipping. When I got my credit card bill, it was $26. I felt a little better when I was in Hobby Lobby the next time and they were sold out. Needless to say, it's part of every Thanksgiving center piece!
ReplyDeleteOh...I forget to mention that I got my fist pictures of some Sandhill cranes that hang in our part of the country. Usually see them when out and about and no camera. These landed in our field and spent several hours. At the same time 2 groups flew way high above. Totally enjoyed them from my front porch. Also, it was fun seeing your LOs again!
