Hairy Woodpecker layout redesigned
In September of 2008 when I was taking a photo a day and scrapping it I was fortunate enough to get some pictures of a Hairy Woodpecker in our yard. At that time I did a layout with them for that month's color challenge using very vivid colors. I've sometimes thought it would be nice to redo it with more natural tones. I've just given it a try with this result:
I kept the photos pretty much as they were and did a design much like the original but with very different colors and an earthier look. The lower left photo is a little hard to interpret, but it is the bird in flight with its back to the camera.

Great photos of the woodpeckers. I have seen birds like these in my back yard too... I never seem to have my camera with me when they show up, I usually hear them before I see them :), they are gone before I get back with my camera. I like the papers and colors you used for the new layout. Very nice page Jean. :)

Thank you both for your comments! As far as the birds pecking your artificial garland, there are many who could have done that, but you do have woodpeckers in Europe and I found a website just about them: http://woodpeckersofeurope.info/. Maybe you'll have seen one at some point in time.
