Birds in Black & White

I had to use bird photos in a copycat challenge this month. I picked ones feathered in black and white with some gray and even a little color against a more colorful background. The birds are: clockwise from upper left: Eastern Kingbird (photo by DH), Hairy Woodpecker, Black-capped Chickadee, Northern Mockingbird; all common birds of eastern U.S.

  1. I´m really taken with your treatment of the font but it doesn´t stop me being totally captivated by these - to me - exotic birds. I particularly like the chickadee but the mockingbird with the berry in its beak is very cute too. I´d love to hear how they sound!

  2. Amazing LO...was impressed even before reading it was a "copy cat" LO and now even more so. Sometimes a scrap lift can be more challenging than just doing a LO! Love all your fonts...may have to add a few of them to my collection. Nice group of birds. I had a cardinal outside my study window just now...must get some bird feed in town later today!
