I'm home again! No more dial-up to the Internet as I've have the past week plus. Sorry to have been rather absent during that time, but it was a vacation. Of course you'll be seeing pictures from Oklahoma.Glad you liked the purple seed pods that were in the gardens of the Philbrook Art Museum in Tulsa. The flowers and plant do look much like sweet peas, but what pods! While I didn't do much scrapping, I did finish the drawing in the works when we left. I've begun another and have taken photos of the early steps which I will post along with the finished one (whatever it may turn out to be.) The current mental landscape reminded me of a ceremonial robe, but I thought it might be inhabited in which case it should be a celebrant. I was told it was definitely inhabited and I decided it was a celebration.
It looks more like a war than a celebration to me. But it is probably just me... I got a computer virus last night that cost me an arm, leg and several hours of layout time to get rid of. I was not a happy camper... and I want to get my hands on the jerks who made the virus and malware. But at least it's fixed and I can work. one, two, three, four, five.... take a deep breath! I am happy to hear that you had a nice time on your vacation and am looking forward to seeing your photos and the drawing you are working on now. :)
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I'm sorry you see war before celebration in this. I will hope it is your state of mind more than the drawing. ;)
ReplyDeleteThere seems to be a lot of life. There is consciously a beetle, but in the end I also see a snake, frog, catfish, and gar (a fish) along the left. Dick pointed out a standing woman and a pirate. Whatever we see, I want these mental landscapes to provide stimulation.
I'm sure it is just my state of mind, but I see a man with a sword and shield right in the middle at the top, and off to the right of that I see a close up of a mans face, he is wearing armor (the face shield part of it is lifted up and I can see bushy eyebrows and his nose). It's a wonderful drawing... I am sure it is just me. :)
