For a recent Digi Dare I did another page on "our" song with a photo I took of Dick in Tulsa recently. I really like the photo a lot and tried to bring the feel of sunshine into it to go with the song (Sunshine of Your Love by Cream). If you look at his sunglasses carefully you might catch a glimpse of his brother, a friend and me.

The requirements of Digi Dare #247 were:
-use at least one photo – have it serve as the background for your layout
-include the lyrics for the song that is providing your inspiration (in full or part) – this is considered your journaling…you can have just one line or twenty. If you want to add additional journaling that is your choice.
-have your title give us a glimpse as to why this song was chosen
-use a photo mask
-use stitching
-use at least one brush
-the use of selective coloring on your photo would be a fun option!
This is such a wonderful page Jean! What a great photo of your hubby, you, brother in law and friend are in the picture too! I had to listen to the song, I recognized it right away. Great job on the challenge! I really like the elements and your composition. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat composition and photo! I like the coloring (especially the hat!) and the image in the glasses including the rest of the group, also.
ReplyDeleteI´d forgotten about this song so I had to go off to YouTube to find it - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYYeM_t6b5c&NR=1 - and recognised it again immediately. It´s not a surprising choice for a guitar player.
ReplyDeleteYou´ve got it nicely stitched up here in every way and your blending is beautifully done. That sepia is sunshiny but it also reflects the age of the song. As for the reflection in the sunglasses, that was a real stroke of luck!
