Diving into the Giant Hibiscus

The red giant hibiscus is blooming at my sister's again and I got to photograph it yesterday. I always like to dive into the center for a close up of its glory. Afterward those photos always remind me of Georgia O'Keeffe and make them seem something less. This time I used the photo to explore the thought. I STILL love to look at the flowers this way.

  1. We should never let what someone else has done stop us from exploring, expressing and enjoying ourselves artistically. If we did that, then there would not be a practicing artist anywhere! Your photo is beautiful, and so is the page you created. I think it is wonderful! :)

  2. I agree with Deb. After all, every image conjures up different thoughts in each of us. This is a beautiful page and expresses your own feelings and nobody else´s.
There´s something fascinating about the inner life of flowers. This photo of your lovely hibiscus with its smoothly ribbed texture and the play of light and shade on it is yours alone. You shouldn´t let anyone dim the pleasure you take in it.

  3. I love the look deep into this beautiful flower. Also like the highlights that seem to glow. And how interesting to take in all the elements added to this page...each sending a message all the own. Great creation!
